Barbados National HIV/AIDS Commission
T he National HIV/AIDS Commission (NHAC) was established to co-ordinate a multi-sectoral approach designed to combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Broadcast HIV Carib
T he Caribbean Broadcast Media Partnership on HIV/AIDS. The Partnership creates a structured framework for sharing information and resources among broadcasters that will significantly expand HIV/AIDS-related programming and public education activities across the Caribbean.

Caribbean Health Research Council (CHRC)
The Caribbean Health Research Council (CHRC) is the institution with the responsibility for the promotion and coordination of health research in the Caribbean.

Caribbean Regional Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (CRN+)
CRN+ is dedicated to raising awareness of PLWHA primarily, but not exclusively, within the Caribbean Basin through advocacy, lobbying and sensitisation strategies.

Caribbean Social Marketing to Prevent HIV & AIDS (CARISMA)
CARISMA is working to integrate the efforts of all actors in the social marketing arena, including the public, non-profit, and for-profit sectors to ensure the access of the entire population to affordable, high-quality health care products and health information.

Guyana National HIV/AIDS Programme
The National Programme strives to reduce the social and economic impact of HIV and AIDS on individuals, communities, and ultimately on the development of the country. The overall goal is to reduce the rate of increase in HIV infection and the development of AIDS.

Jamaica National HIV/STI Control Programme
The National Programme is geared at the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). It advocates for and coordinates the input of all sectors of the Jamaican society, including the private and public sectors and non-government organisations (NGOs).

Lifeline Counselling Services
LCS works to reduce the psychosocial impact of HIV & AIDS on persons living with of affected by the disease, through counselling and education.

PHIVA (Publicity project for HIV/AIDS)
PHIVA is a campaign to protect people from acquiring HIV/AIDS, and ensure that those already infected remain healthy, active and contributing members of society with access to drugs that will save their lives.

The Commonwealth Health and Media Partnership seeks to advocate for improved health in resource poor settings through excellence in media training, operational research and policy development support.

The Global Fund
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria was created to dramatically increase resources to fight three of the world's most devastating diseases, and to direct those resources to areas of greatest need. As a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and affected communities, the Global Fund represents an innovative approach to international health financing.

A global non-profit organization working to speed the search for a vaccine to prevent HIV infection and AIDS.

Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)
The main advocate for global action on HIV/AIDS that aims to strengthen and support the response to the epidemic.

World AIDS Campaign
The World AIDS Campaign has been established to strengthen and connect together the advocacy and campaign activities targeting governments and other stakeholders to deliver on their promises and commitments. Whether that is with politicians or policy makers amongst the donor community or those countries most affected by HIV or indeed a multilateral agency or civil society the aim is to create a unified voice on the need to take the action necessary to scale up the response to HIV.

World Health Organization's 3 by 5 Initiative
WHO's initiative to provide 3 million people living with HIV/AIDS with life-prolonging antiretroviral treatment by the end of 2005.

CARICOM Law
Official Caribbean Community (CARICOM) database of legislation from CARICOM jurisdictions and a resource for implementation of the CARICOM Single Market & Economy (CSME). Maintained by the CARICOM Legislative Drafting Facility (CLDF).

CARICOM Statistics
The Statistics Sub-programme compiles statistics on the member countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The data collected are used for multiple purposes-updating of databases, production of statistical reports, providing specified data for analysis.
